Q:What services do you offer?


Our services include hair design, make-up application, sarri tying, dupatta pinning, jewellery/bindi setting and any additional help required to get you ready for the special occasion.

Q:Is there an additional charge for dupatta pinning and sarri tying?


The bridal (ladies party, engagement, wedding & reception) packages include the above but for non-bridal (event attendees) there is an additional charge. Please contact us for rates.

Q:How long does it take to get a bride ready?


It takes two to three hours for make-up, hair, setting the jewelry, pinning the dupatta and taking photographs. We generally start at 4:45am for a Sikh wedding ceremony.

Q:Do you travel to us or do we come to the Studio?


For bridal (ladies party, engagement, wedding & reception) packages, the travel is included within the Lower Mainland, including Delta, Surrey, Richmond, Vancouver, Coquitlam and Burnaby.  For grad/non-bridal (event attendees), travel within these cities is also included if you book a party of three or more per event. Otherwise, services are provided at our Studio located in Burnaby, BC. Please contact us for further details.

Q:Do you travel out of province or country?


We do travel nationally/internationally. Please contact us for more details.

Q:What type of make-up do you use?


The kit includes the best top quality makeup like Mac Cosmetics, Tarte Cosmetics, Too Faced, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Urban Decay, Make Up Forever, Sephora, Smashbox and Nars so there is no end to the numerous looks that can be created. 

Q:Is a consultation required before booking?


A consultation is optional and includes full face make-up (hair consultation can also be done at an additional charge). Please call us to discuss the rates.

During this consultation, we also discuss the make-up/hair styles you prefer for your wedding/reception and answer any additional questions you may have.

Q:What can I do to prepare myself for the big day?


We highly recommend each bride to get a few hours of sleep the night before the wedding as we normally arrive early in the morning to get you ready for your special day.

It is also important that you wash your hair the night before and ensure it is dry prior to our arrival.

Q:Is there a deposit required in order to book Purple Haze Artistry?


Yes, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit with the remaining payment due two weeks prior to the event. We book on a first come, first served basis as this is the only way we can keep track of bookings. To ensure your date is secure with us, a deposit and a signed contract is necessary.

Q:Do you sanitize your make-up tools/brushes?


Sanitation is the most important process we must implement if we are to keep our makeup, brushes and kits germ free. Therefore we safeguard our clients and practice diligent sanitation techniques. We clean our brushes after each client and use disposable mascara and lip wands. By doing so we set a standard of excellence that goes far beyond just doing great makeup and hair!
